Collated, complete.In this work, Susan St Maur, Duchess of Somerset, provides an account of a journey made over several months across Canada in the company of her husband, the Duke of Somerset.She provides a vivid description of Canadian life and culture in the late nineteenth century. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with bumping to back strip head and tail, and a touch of cockling to the tail of the front board. Small closed tear to cloth at back strip head. Inscription to a front blank. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright, with a small number of leaves unopened to the head. Significant closed tears to fore edge of folding map. Very Good
