JOYCE, James, D. H. Lawrence, F. S. Flint, H. D. . Ford Madox Ford, William Carlos William Etc.,. IMAGIST ANTHOLOGY 1930.. Heinemann, London And Toronto, 1930.

Price: US$96.21 + shipping

Description: 8vo. pp xx, 154. Original publisher's yellow cloth lettered blue at spine and on front. Some soiling / tanning at spine and top part of upper cover else used near vg copy. Something of a curiosity as the first of this is normally from Chatto and Windus and both Joyce and Lawrence's bibliography do not show this issue. The clue may be a small stamp at the front showing that the book was bought at the New Oxford Book Company in Lahore, possibly indicating a colonial issue or the 'London and Toronto' may indicate a Canadian and Commonwealth printing.

An eight-page foreword by Madox Ford, and a two-page foreword by Glenn Hughes precede poems by Ford Madox Ford (three poems, two of which are hitherto unprinted and seemingly never reprinted), Richard Aldington (three poems), John Cournos (two poems), H.D. (four poems), John Gould Fletcher (five poems), F.S.Flint (one poem), James Joyce (one poem), D.H.Lawrence (six poems), and William Carlos Williams (two poems), followed by a brief two-page bibliography (which incorrectly notes Carlos Williams as the author of 'In the American Grave' [sic]).
