A fine copy of this grand book, here from the Garden collection of Haven O'More, with his black morocco monogram book label to the front pastedown. One of the greatest book collectors of the latter part of the 20th century, O'More's collection focused both on the finest specimens of printing, and the great moments in the development of literature and thought. Large folio. Original black morocco, spine lettered in gilt, covers panelled in gilt. Housed in the original morocco-backed solander box with marbled sides. Mounted colour lithograph frontispiece, tissue guard, collotype plates, some colour, one through stencil, with 5 additional proofs at end, most in colour. A fine copy, in somewhat worn box.
