An excellent better than very good copy, the binding square and firm with a couple of small nicks at the spine tips, the cloth bright and fresh. The contents are clean throughout and without previous owner's inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the scarce original dustwrapper that is rubbed and nicked at the edges and with a chip taking the publisher's name at the base of the spine. With the publisher's correct printed price of 3/6 net to the spine which at some point was covered with a paper label, now partially removed without damage. (McIlvaine A44b). A VG+ nice, clean and bright copy with the usual browning to both end-papers. In the RARE D/W priced 3/6 net to the spine (as called for). The D/W is also in VG+ condition and has had a neat repair to the base of the spine (by a skilled paper conservator) replacing the publisher's name. The rest of the D/W is entirely untouched with a couple of closed edge tears to the top edge of the front panel and a touch of fraying at the head of the spine. Shows well. Scans invited.
