Description: First UK edition, first impression. Some slight edge wear to top and bottom of jacket and spine, some slight dust staining to bright unfaded back jacket, not price clipped (12/6), previous owner's inscription to ffep, internally clean tight and square, overall a vg+ copy for its age. 190pp. Pearl Zane Grey (1872-1939), was a very prolific American author and dentist best known for his popular western adventure novels. He idealized the American frontier. 'Riders of the Purple Sage' (1912) was his best selling book. Even after his death, Harper had a stockpile of his manuscripts and continued to publish a new title each year until 1963.
