Description: 19 x 13.5 cm. Octavo. [4],viii,212,v,[3] p. Engraved title page and frontispiece. Bound in 19th century leather, spine rebacked. Illustrated with 78 engravings by William Hogarth. A previous owner's name, Thomas Zouch, on the engraved title page. Zouch (1737-1815) was an editor and biographer of Izaak Walton (i.e. "The Compleat Angler"). A more recent owner's bookplate with initial J.L. printed on it on front fixed endpaper. ESTC T10099.
