Price: US$150.00 + shipping

Description: An overlooked compilation of Civil War photos. Many, many Brady photographs along with other noted period photographers. Excellent narrative to support the photos. This series came out about prior to the Miller set which became the popular set to own. Lossing's work is dated to 1895 while Miller's has a 1911/12 publication date. Nonetheless this 1912 Lossing work stands by itself. It is in 16 parts, each a wrapper offering, all encased in a tie-type binder. The parts are near fine, the binder did its job in protecting the parts and is just G/G+. If interested in Civil War photography, this is a must have set. What makes this set extra special are the colored plates in each of the 16 issues. (See one in pictures). There are 15 that are near fine and one VG. These alone are worth the price of the set. There is a slight increase in postage to handle the set.
