Description: First edition. Softcover. Features 12 high quality individual black and white plates taken from the original negatives. Also includes a text sheet folded once to create 4 pages that has an essay by Thomas F. Barrow and notes on the images. The images are on stiff 9" x 12" sheets of paper. The images and text sheet are in very near fine condition and in an about very good fold cardstock folder with some creasing and other wear. Still, a nice copy.

Hine became a photographer for the National Child Labor Committee in 1908. His photographs are credited with having changed the Child Labor Laws in the United States. minor creasing at corners of text pages and one of the inside flaps of portfolio. Portfolio with light sunning and some light stains on back. Portfolio in overall good, interior in very good condition.
