Description: 2/3" stain to front board. 1/8" loss of cloth at tips of corners of boards. A few 1/8" splits to cloth at ends of spine. Moderate rubbing to joints. Heavy foxing to endpapers. Split to gutter at front hinge.; xviii, 362 page + photogravure frontis + 1 photogravure plate + 4 full page plates + 26 small in-text illustrations. Blue-green cloth boards with gilt illustration on front board. Page dimensions: 202 x 129mm. The two photogravure plates show collections of game animal heads, both have an overlaying tissue paper guard with a printed key to the illustration. In the short preface to this new edition, the author notes that an index has now been added. "The bygone performances of an old 'muzzle-loader' may perhaps be considered rather obsolete by the young sportsman of the present with his double 'express.'
