Publisher's original card wrappers, Vanessa Bell design to front panel, lettered and coloured in green, some peeling and loss to backstrip, though binding still holding nicely, toning to extremities, occasional light spotting to margins, a couple of small light ink stains not really impacting, quality of text varies from page to page, still a very good example of this scarce title. Hand-produced by the Woolfs in the 'Hogarth Essays' series and was the only title they produced; penned by the secretary of Henry James, Theodora Bosanquet.
