Publisher's original card wrappers, Vanessa Bell design to front panel, lettered and coloured in green, some peeling and loss to backstrip, though binding still holding nicely, toning to extremities, occasional light spotting to margins, a couple of small light ink stains not really impacting, quality of text varies from page to page, still a very good example of this scarce title. Hand-produced by the Woolfs in the 'Hogarth Essays' series and was the only title they produced; penned by the secretary of Henry James, Theodora Bosanquet.

A very good or better copy, the binding square and firm with only light wear at the spine tips and some toning to the spine and panel edges. The contents, with a large bookplate to the front endpaper are otherwise clean throughout. An attractive example of the only hand printed pamphlet in The Hogarth Essay series.
