This volume is the second in a series of three books produced by the Golden Cockerel Press and edited by Walter Sidney Scott; the first book was The Athenians and the third Shelley at Oxford. Walter Sidney Scott married Thomas Jefferson Hogg's great-niece and allegedly found these letters in a drawer.
