Description: Hardcover with dust jacket. Yellow cloth binding, with blue lettering and decorative borders on spine and front cover. No date listed on title page; copyright page dated 1932. 160 pages. Good condition. Light wear to edges and corners; corners are bumped. Binding is cocked, and is beginning to split at gutter of page 48/49, but is otherwise sturdy and whole. Pages are clean and unmarked. White paper dust jacket, with black lettering and decorative designs in blue on the spine and front cover, and a full-color pictorial illustration on the front cover. Good condition. Some wear and tear to edges and corners; chipping to head and foot of spine. Five small circular tears on spine; two to left edge of front flap. Spine is sunned. Rubbing evident to flaps, covers and spine; previous owner's name written in blue ink at top edge of front flap. Illustrations throughout, in black-and-white and in full color. Work by the children's author Hugh Lofting, most famous for creating the character of Dr. Doolittle.
