Price: US$450.00 + shipping

Description: Second printing of the first edition (in the same month as the first printing), near fine in a very good dust jacket. The book is fine except for newspaper articles affixed to the rear endpapers. The jacket has small chips at the spine ends and a little edgewear. There is evidence of a label being removed near the bottom of the spine, which has pulled the top layer of paper away in a few places. This appears to be the first issue dust jacket, with no indication of second printing (but second printing is stated on the copyright page). The author is of Cherokee descent, and the first Native American to achieve success as a playwright. Inscribed by the author, and dated in Hollywood April 2, 1935. This play ultimately became the hit Broadway musical Oklahoma! A scarce item, especially signed.
