Pages are clean, bright and presentable with tight binding, and an unbroken spine. Pictures and illustrations are colorful and richly pigmented. Overall, a very handsome copy.

In addition to Wiltsee's signature on the 1st flyleaf is an inscription to the book's owner by Ed Grabhorn of Grabhorn Press. Two Hanko stamps on 1st flyleaf. Pale red cloth boards with off white buckram spine. The binding is tight and the corners are sharp. Paper panel affixed to the spine shows a tiny spot of rubbing. Text and images are clean and unmarked. Tissue guarded frontis. Some yellowing to the endpapers due to several newspaper clippings from the 30s and 40s laid in. Publisher's prospectus laid in. Only 500 copies printed.
