Endpapers dated "Januar 1936". This copy contains the publisher's errata slip confirming the name change of Saarlouis. From 1936-1945, Saarlouis was named as Saarlautern (-lautern being a common ending of town and village names in Germany) in an attempt by the Nazis to Germanise the town name. Hinrichsen D254

Clean, square, unmarked copy. Contains fantastic maps that are typical of classic Baedeker guidebooks; 35 of which are the delicate fold-outs, and about 11 single page maps. All are in near fine condition, with occasional small tears. Some shelf wear and rubbing to covers, fading to ribbon.
