There is discard stamp on title page, owners book plate inside cover and authors inscription dated 1943. Cover is clean with cal in white on spine no other markings and otherwise clean. This is a collection of early works through time of publication of artists and writers of the Central Valley of California. One old famous poem starts with "Don't go they say if you got any brains. Stay away, far, far away from the San Joaquin Plains". Part one is poems, part two literary sketches, plays and short stories. 276 pages index.
