Description: The boards are rubbed somewhat, some general light soiling, more on the back, spine ends and corners bumped, front endpaper has previous owner names and addresses, the title page has some penciled note and name below the author name, page 37 has a browning stain at the foredge, might be a fingerprint, not too terrible. The balance of the book is clean and unmarked, sound and solid. Duniway here revisits overland travel to Oregon with a new narrative, written in response to solicitation that she re- published her previous, and widely successful, novel. Duniway instead penned the present volume, believing her first book to have served its purpose. Scarce.
