Description: "Frontenac" edition hardcover, bound in blue cloth, with paste-on label on spine, is in G condition, having wear marks on front cover and spine; paper label on spine, darkened with time, and showing some staining, as well as some wear to edges, especially top right corner; some wear to top and bottom spine; some light rubbing/scuffing to covers; corners show light bumping and wear; light fading to edges of back cover (see our photo); beginnings of some cracking to first endpaper hinge; last free endpaper has a tear at top, and a folded corner; normal age-toning to pages. Book originally published with un-cut pages, and the closed page edges show the normal roughness when former owner opened the pages with a blade (it s possible there still may be some un-cut pages); two small paper strips, in page just before last endpaper, have the title and edition of the volume printed on each strip---what their function was we aren t sure (see photo). Book is illustrated with b&w plates, including on map plate.
