NOTO BENE: the DJ is "doubleday" with $2.95 price tag. On the internet another dealer remarked about this 'Hybrid' situation. Not clear why there is this oddity. SIGNED by the author to an affixed bookplate to the front free paper. An outstanding copy of this seminal novel, the second in the Foundation series; uncommon in the first printing and in collectible condition, certainly enhanced with Asimov's signature. This copy is in near fine condition with a square, tight binding, sharp black lettering over red boards, and clean white pages throughout free from markings; the book does show some light rubbing to the boards and board edges, and some mild age-spotting to the free papers and pastedowns. Housed in a clean and bright very good dust jacket that shows moderate sunning to the spine, some light rubbing and creasing to the spine ends, corners, and folds, and a couple of small rubs to the front panel.
