The binding is full blue cloth (color uniform throughout) with author's facsimile signature in gilt on the front board, dulled gilt title, etc., to spine, off-white endpapers, and corners square but showing wear. No Dust Jacket. See photos. 372 pages, including an extensive index, plus 27 photographic illustrations on unnumbered pages. 6 1/2" x 9 1/2". A personal memoir of the forty (40) years the author spent from 1892 to 1932 as a medical missionary, setting up hospitals and cottage hospitals along the coast of Labrador, Newfoundland. In time the project expanded to include developing schools, an orphanage, cooperatives, industrial work projects, and social work.
