Forced to surrender his ship the Sutherland after a long and bloody battle, Captain Horatio Hornblower now bides his time as a prisoner in a French fortress awaiting trial in Paris. A good copy with some soiling to the cloth. The spine is lightly spotted with a small tear at the top. The text is very good with some light spotting to a few page margins. There is a small ink number on the inside cover and some foxing to the endsheets. The jacket is good with some chipping to the spine tips. The rear panel has a crease at the bottom and a short tear near the lower spine.
