Fifteen full page woodcuts (22 x 16") by the great American sculptor and painter, printed from the block at the Gehenna Press. The titles of prints: Man of Peace (1952), The Strabismic Jew (1955), Mantegna at Erimitani (1954), Hydrogen Man (1954), Everyman (1960), Terrified & Frightened Man (1955), The Poet Laureate (1955), Leonard Baskin (1952), Mourning Woman (1951), Angel of Death (1959), Death of the Poet Laureate (1959), Torment (1958), Tormented Man (1953), Hanged Man (1955) and Haman (1956). Woodcuts printed in black, with two of them in black and red. Printer's plate with small woodcut at top. Portfolio with some water staining along spine and small stretch of bottom edges near spine. Rubbed. Prints in very good condition.
