Library plate of Cheltenham College (England) pasted on inside of front board and several neat ink stamps on preliminary pages. Light foxing to prelims and end blank pages. All edges shining gilt (a.e.g.) Internally in very clean condition throughout. 8 plates in total - one is listed as being opposite page 294 by Smillie but it is not there, however there is a frontipiece by Smillie of a lady reading in a chair (so possibly the same plate?)
