Description: FIRST EDITION, some light spotting to borders occasionally, a few passages underlined in red pencil and a reader's note at close of text: '4th Feb. 1938, on the day of the setting-in of Spring, Kyoto', pp. xx, 320, 8vo, original blue cloth, the backstrip lettered in gilt, a trifle rubbed at extremities, edges and endpapers a little spotted, dustjacket with the backstrip panel browned and a little chipped at foot, very good. Grant attended University College, Oxford - at the time of the present work he was a lecturer at UCL; he subsequently worked at the Treasury. Amongst the publisher's Economics list on the dustjacket's rear panel is J.M. Keynes' recent 'General Theory' and Joan Robinson's 'Essays in the Theory of Employment'. An excellent copy, its original owner resident in Japan.
