Description: Half light green calf leather with light green cloth. Spine and edges sunned to light brown. Floral decorated spine. Top edge gilt with paste downs and flyleaves in marbled paper. Tissue guarded frontispiece in excellent condition. . A faint crack in leather joint between front cover and spine with both interior hinges complete and strong with no cracks. Very clean and tight with no marks or inscriptions.

Description: EARLY THOMSON EDITION. 8vo. (7.8 x 5.4 inches). Illustrated with 40 full page line drawings. Publishers original burgundy cloth with decorative blind stamped floral design to both boards, the front board lettered and ruled in gilt. Spine ruled and lettered in gilt. Page edges untrimmed. Internally a fine bright and clean copy throughout. A little rubbing to the binding extremities and just a hint of fading to the spine but overall a very good, bright copy. Becoming increasingly difficult to find in collectable condition in the publishers cloth.

A clean tidy copy bound, for Truslove and Hanson in London, in early half burgundy morocco, spine with a single raised band, dotted in gilt. Compartments ruled, lettered and decorated in gilt. Red cloth on boards. Top edge gilt. A small amount of wear to the extremities and some marks to the cloth boards but still overall a very good, attractive copy.
