Five raised bands at spine (gilt delineation), six compartments comprising two with gilt lettered titles (set and volume) and four compartments with decorative gilt devices. Spines have uniformly faded to a warm brown; some minor scuffing at head of a few volumes. Scattered foxing as typical. Printed at The Riverside Press, Cambridge. Each volume is illustrated with steel engraved portraits and photogravures with tissue guards. A very attractive set.
