Boards bumped, rubbed, lightly soiled and spotted, small blue crayon heart on rear blue board, text tight and bright with occasional light finger smudge in margin. No dj. Sound reading copy. Brian moves to Santa Fe and his beloved dog is poisoned. He makes friends with a girl whose Mom works for a well-known local kennel. The sheriff gives Brian a wire fox terrier, Frisky - then Frisky disappears! The children accompany Cindy's Mom to the big dog show in Denver where they find themselves up against a villain who will stop at nothing.
