(A gift from Edward Marsh, with a signed letter from him on his personal stationery from his longtime residence at 5, Raymond Buildings, Gray's Inn; Marsh was Churchill's lifelong friend and private secretary and was also a great sponsor and friend of Siegfried Sassoon, Rupert Brooke and other Georgian poets: he edited five volumes of Georgian Poetry between 1912 and 1922 and was Brooke's literary executor and edited his Collected Poems posthumously); 2 octavo volumes: 265 + 219pp (including woodcuts adapted from contemporary prints); #83 of 285 numbered copies; Very Good gilt-stamped cloth with bevelled edges; books are lightly sunned and rubbed with softened spine ends and slightly bumped corners (cloth of bottom corners of Vol 1 just beginnning to fray at very tips), spine sunned and a little faded but quite readable still, a little faint even soiling to panels, internally unmarked: a clean tight very nice Gregynog production and a very unique association copy (price is for set)
