Description: Hardcover with DJ. Black cloth over boards with gilt lettering. White DK with white and black lettering, orange/purple/black designs. Title page dated 1961. Stated first edition. 250 pages. Also comes with a slip of paper showing this was a review copy for press. Good condition. Covers are clean and square. DJ has protected the book well, but shows it. Chipped at corners and repaired by a former owner with tape. Is now is protective mylar cover. Pages are clean but toned, a few pages have small marks in red ink (likely by original reviewer, does no affect text). Front free end page has a name, J.A. Bryant, Jr. Was very likely owned by literature professor and literary critic of the same name. Binding is strong.
