Frontispiece photograph of Edwin Willard Deming. Stapled printed wrappers. Also reproduces in holograph facsimile a letter from Theodore Roosevelt to Deming. Covers are lightly foxed and faintly soiled with a few short closed tears, crown of spine is bumped causing slight crease to covers and text, small soil mark in upper margin of last two leaves, else a very good copy. Signed by Edwin Willard Deming on the title page. Prints the text of letters to Deming, from Frederic Remington, Francis LaFlesche (an Omaha Indian), etc. Deming was an internationally known painter and sculptor of the American Indian, and of animal life; he was born in Ashland, Ohio, in 1860.
