Ruscha, Edward. Edward Ruscha (Ed-Werd Rew-Shay) Young Artist. Minneapolis Institute of Arts, 1972.

Price: US$1750.00 + shipping

Condition: Very Good

Description: Minneapolis Institute of Arts, 1972. 16mo, bound in original green boards. First edition of this scarce Ruscha item, conceived by the artist to resemble a 'Big Little Book', replete with cheap materials and acidic paper which is accordingly tanned and brittle. A series of blanks were bound in by the publisher to bulk up and square the textblock. Laid in are the two cards called for- one replicating the text of the title page, and one belonging to Edward A. Foster, curator of prints and drawings at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. Front hinge is gently starting with some webbing showing; book slightly cocked, corners gently rubbed, minor crimping to the corners of several pages; small blemish to lower front board; tanning to card edges, but a nicely preserved example of a notoriously fragile book.
