Description: Color Illustrations; This copy conforms to all points in Hanrahan. This book is in Very Good+ condition and has a Very Good+ dust jacket. The book and its contents are in mostly clean, bright condition. The spine ends and corners of the book covers have some light bumping and rubbing. The text pages are clean and bright. There is a previous owner's inked name on the front endpaper. The dust jacket has several small edge nicks and tears, along with some light rubbing and edge wear. There is one small fingernail poke to the front spine joint. "Maurice Bernard Sendak (June 10, 1928 May 8, 2012) was an American illustrator and writer of children's books. He became widely known for his book Where the Wild Things Are, first published in 1963. Born to Jewish-Polish parents, his childhood was affected by the death of many of his family members during the Holocaust. Sendak also wrote works such as In the Night Kitchen, Outside Over There, and illustrated many works by other authors including the Little Bear books by Else Holmelund Minarik."
