Halford, Frederic M.. Dry Fly Entomology. Vinton & Co., Ltd., London, 1897.

Price: US$724.99 + shipping

Condition: Very Good

Description: Halford's classic work on tying flies. Includes twenty-eight beautiful full-color plates showing the hundred best patterns of floating flies. Except for a stamp of a former owner on the interior front board, there is no writing, underlining, or other marks. The text portion of the book is in pristine condition, however there are some binding issues. The hinges are cracked on the front and the back, and the spine is torn and repaired (albeit poorly) just below the title. There is also some rubbing on the corners. Otherwise this is a nice, tight copy with the boards straight and true and the gold gilt on the top edge fully intact. A must-have for any serious collection of angler-related literature! This scarce and highly collectible copy comes protected with an archival mylar cover. Satisfaction guaranteed!
