Text is otherwise tight in binding. The originally included, full-color lithograph is missing from this copy. Text is clean and free of blemishes throughout. No other markings or indications of note. Description: Folio (14 x 10 1/2"). 155, (1)pp. Text in English (but with the original illustrated dust-jacket in French), white lettering on spine, over gray-green cloth, with gold lettering to spine and front cover. Housed in the publisher's orignal cardboard slipcase. Frontispiece and illustrated title page in color. The binding, in otherwise fine condition, has a hint of sunning at the top and bottom edges of the spine and the partially sun-faded slipcase is slightly bumped at foot of spine. This exquisite work contains Marc Chagall's original designs for "Aleko, "The Firebird" and "Daphnis and Chloe." Fernand Mourlot printed the color plates and the original lithograph.

Binding super sound; textblock pristine and unmarked, with 68 color plates (many double paged) and original lithograph printed by Fernand Mourlot bound-in at front of book. Included are the original designs, costumes, decors, sets, and sketches for the various dancers, magicians, monsters, and peasants. Original lithograph frontispiece created for this book (Mourlot 581) is bright and unmarked, without the wavyness that sometimes plagues this title.
