Description: A good condition hard cover dated 1914, with printed front board, no jacket. Preface by Florence A.L. Bram Stoker. Notable shelf and handling wear present. Red cloth covered boards are faded and worn, with a distinct watermark to rear. This has permeated to internal page edges throughout. Board edges are worn, corners bumped, spine cocked, and pageblock is tanned. Gutter break noted at pages 128-129, however, pages remain securely bound. In additon to watermarks, occasional foxing is also noted. Generally the text within is unmarked, and is clear and distinct. More photographs are available upon request. CN

Maintaining an identical size and exterior to the First Impression, with blind-stamped design to boards (no black inking, as in later impressions) and gilt titles to spine. Consistently clean red cloth boards, given the age of the book, with spine very marginally indeed darker. Scarcely any signs of bumping or rubbing, apart from left-hand spine edge and tail, which are showing some small areas of fraying. Top edge dust-darkened, other edges a little foxed. 200pp, all with very light occasional foxing; securely bound apart from the top board hinge, which is showing binding through a thin cracking between pastedown and endpaper. Ffep has heavy pencil initials in centre, making light impression on Title Page. No other marks or inscriptions. A tidy copy of this scarce item. Description: Scarce copy of the Dracula's Guest with a preserved pictorial front panel and connected front flap of the original first state dust jacket. Pink staining on the rear of the original dust jacket. Original scarlet cloth boards with blind stamped design and titles to the upper board. Professionally re-backed with the original spine and replaced end papers. Light soiling of the cloth and rubbing to the corners. The spine has dulled and the gilt titles are clearly visible. Water stain on the front free page. Browned title page and some browning on some of the pages. The preserved pictorial front panel and connected front flap. Laid over a facsimile jacket. 8vo 200 pp.
