Description: Unpaginated but includes 14 p., 8x14" of colorful artwork accompanied by story text--possibly incomplete, but each page collectible. One page has small closed tear at upper margin and another more serious tears and stain at margin, but closed. Paper very fine and colors unfaded. Front panel of wrapper is stained at edges and chipped at spine.

Description: (Racine, Wisconsin: Whitman Publishing Company 1935). First US Edition. Softcover. Stiff wrappers (original staples still present). Sixteen pages printed on linen-like paper in full colour throughout with illustrations by the Staff of the Walt Disney Studios. This Comic Book is recognised to be the first time that Donald Duck (still with his elongated bill) was the main character in his own story. Mickey Mouse's nephews show Uncle Donald Duck a few tricks about diving and at the same time enjoy a pleasant swim themselves. 8 leaves, the outer forming the wrappers, colour illustrations. A very good copy with a short closed edge tear (to the bottom edge) and a repaired (1" x 1") edge chip to the right hand edge of the front cover neatly repaired on the verso with filmoplast (following sympathetic removal of an old tape repair). Interior clean and unmarked. Slim folio. A very good copy of a scarce early Disney work. Whitman number 978. Photographs/scans available upon request.

Sixteen pages printed on linen-like paper in full colour throughout with illustrations by the Staff of the Walt Disney Studios. This Comic Book is recognised to be the first time that Donald Duck (still with his elongated bill) was the main character in his own story. Mickey Mouse's nephews show Uncle Donald Duck a few tricks about diving and at the same time enjoy a pleasant swim themselves. 8 leaves, the outer forming the wrappers, colour illustrations, some soiling and marks, outer corners of wrapper creased (small loss to rear cover at the top left hand corner), rear cover fore-edge very slightly frayed, several pages with short closed tears to the top edge now imperceptibly strengthened on the verso by archival tape, spine reinforced by archival tape (prior to being re-sown) .
