Facsimile edition of Scot's famous 1584 Witchcraft work.

Description: Limited Edition of 1275 copies this copy no.242. 4to, xxxvii + pp283. Hardcover no dust jacket. Binding of red leather spine over green cloth boards in good condition with some rubbing and shelf wear to edges of spine. Inside a little cracking to both hinges but binding still tight and holding, a little aging to end papers with all other rough cut pages in very good clean and bright condition with no foxing or aging. A reprint of the 1584 original intended as an exposé of early modern witchcraft in which Scot believed that the prosecution of those accused of witchcraft was irrational and not Christian. A very nice copy
