Description: Die Künstler-Edition Derrière le miroir (DLM) erschien zwischen 1946 und 1982 mit dem erklärten Ziel, originalgrafische Arbeiten bekannter Künstler dem breiten Publikum zugänglich zu machen. Das Herausgeber-Ehepaar Marguerite und Aimé Maeght ließ namhafte Künstler wie Marc Chagall, Joan Miró, Georges Braque, Pablo Picasso u.v.a. eigens für die jeweilige Ausgaben Originalgrafiken anfertigen. Literarisch ausgestattet wurden die einzelnen Hefte mit bis dato unveröffentlichten Texten berühmter Schriftsteller wie Samuel Beckett, Paul Éluard, Jean-Paul Sartre etc. Den überwiegenden Teil der etwa 250 Ausgaben fertigte die Druckerei Mourlot Frères in Paris an, die für ihre hochwertig produzierten Lithographien bekannt ist.- Die Grafiken für diese Ausgabe No. 192 schuf Saul Steinberg, die Texte ergänzte Jacques Dupin. The outer folio and Pages 2-3 and 30 are three original prints by Joan Miro that were printed at the press of Adrien Maeght. 31 pp., including illustrations and prints. This is No. 193 of 194 (October-November 1971) of Maeght Editions. This folio features the work of the famous Spanish artist, Joan Miro (1893-1983). Author Jacques Dupin (1927-2012) was a French poet, art critic, and director of publication at Galerie Maeght which represented Miro. Dupin's poems, each of which are a homage to one color and their connection to Miro, are interspersed among illustrations of Miro's paintings on paper.
