Description: A lecture delivered at the Sorbonne on March 15th, 1927. A UK first edition, first impression. THE WRAPPER : The wrapper on this copy is bright and complete. It is unclipped. It shows light wear to the edges and nickng to most of the corners. There is also nicking to the spine ends. The spine panel has darkened. The wrapper shows general overall soiling. Looks sharp in protective brodart . THE BOOK : The book is square and tight. The boards are bright. The lower corners are trivially rubbed. The pages are clean and bright. No foxing. The closed page edges are slightly dulled and dusty. No dog-eared pages. The binding is solid - no cracked hinges. There is an ornate ownership inscription on the ffep. A very nice copy in a protected wrapper. Paypal accepted.

Binding is tight, sturdy, and square; very faint damp soiling and gentle bump to rear board near head of spine, else only light wear to edges of boards, title plate text remains bold; text very good throughout; light previous owner inscription on front end page. Unclipped dust jacket is edge-worn with a few chips and closed tears; dust smudging, toning to panels; some tearing over spine; jacket arrives wrapped in protective mylar.
