Description: A fine copy of this edition of the original Black Sparrow limited edition of 50 copies that is now extremely rare. This German edition in English is slightly smaller than the American edition and was issued in about 100 copies. The facsimile envelope is addressed to the author at "69 Cachinnation Row, Catatonia City." Package contains a folded "letter" and 10 silkscreened cards that answer the question of what Bukowski's "typical day" is like. Illustrated by the author in red, yellow, blue, green & black silkscreened artwork illustrated by Bukowski.

One envelope, addressed to Bukowski, a letter and ten comics in color (4 x 5 1/2") with captions, framed in green painted wooden frame (27 3/4 x 25 1/4"} behind glass. Letter and illustrations are numberd 1 through 11. The illustrations are drawings by Bukowski, color-silk-screened by Ray Hartman. The letter was actually written by Bukowski, addressed to Mr. Bukowski and signed Cindy. It expresses curiosity about what a typical day of Bukowski is like. The envelope addressed to Charles Bukowski at 69 Cachinnation Row, Catalonia City, 00100.

A collection 12 unbound leaves measuring 8 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches, numbered 1-11, with 1 unnumbered leaf contained in an envelope. Extremely clean and bright leaves silkscreened with illustrations and text, Fine in nearly Fine envelope. Orange envelope with brown ribbon and silkscreened text and artist's holograph, slight overall fading to colored paper. Artist book in the form of a letter sent to Bukowski with his responses as individual illustrated cards. Read sequentially, the cards offer a humorous play-by-play of a day in the author's life, underwritten with self-loathing yet maintaining levity throughout. An entertaining set. Krumhansl 66.
