Boards are clean and sharp with a little spine lean. Contents are clean and unmarked throughout. Dust Jacket is lightly worn with minor chipping, crease to front panel, not price clipped. Really quite scarce in original pictorial Dust Jacket.

Description: A Story Press Book, MainLine Mystery. Very good minus first edition book in very good minus dust jacket. Tan cloth boards with navy text and graphics on spine. Boards are clean. Edges are age-darkened and foxed, lower edge has several small stains. Minimal creasing along edges at head and tail of board spine. Bookseller's stamp on front paste down. It appears that the inside flaps were glued to the paste-downs at one time, hence their rough appearance. FFEP has previous owner's name in ink; both endpapers have glue or paper transfer shadows. Minimal foxing and a few small stains to text pages. Dust jacket is sunned and soiled overall, more obvious against the white background of the back panel and inside flaps. All folds are creased and rubbed. Upper and lower edges at head and tail of jacket spine and fore-edge corners are rubbed and with some loss of up to 1/4". Creasing along all upper- and lower-most edges. Inside flaps are in a somewhat crinkled condition due to their previous glued stated. Book has something of a musty odor. Not price clipped. Peter Bogdanovich directed a highly acclaimed film version of of Cornell Woolrich title story called Dime a Dance starring Jennifer Grey. Shipped in a box, not a padded envelope.

Single leaf with Hotel Marseilles letterhead, a typewritten letter hand-signed "Cornell," requesting copyright assignments for two of his stories: "Leg Man" and "What The Well Dressed Corpse Will Wear" so that both could appear in THE DANCING DETECTIVE, the latter under the title "Fur Jacket)." Light folds, tiny holes from previous stapling at upper left corner, otherwise Near Fine with superior content related specifically to THE DANCING DETECTIVE.
