Description: In which are related the exciting experiences of Princess Ozma of Oz, and Dorothy, in their hazardous jouney to the home of the Flatheads, and to the Magic Isle of the Skeezers, and how they were rescued from fire peril by the sorcery of Glinda the Good. Blue cloth binding with full page paper label color illustration on front cover. This illustration is bright and in good condition. Spine has black title author illustration of bird and publisher. Binding is worn at to and bottom of spine, corners and back cover show minimal soil. Illustrated end papers. Front hinge is cracked and has been taped. All Foredges are yellow. Ink name of previous owner on 'This book belongs to" page. There is a dark brown spot the size of a quarter on the bottom of the frontise illustrations (does not effect the illustrations) title page and copyright page. Content is clean and sound with no coloring or marks. A Very nice copty of a Children's Classic.

Description: VG (colour pastedown plate showing thw wizard covered in piglets talking to Dorothy is reasonably bright with just minimal edgewear. At the top of the spine there is a small nick with tiny loss, at the front lower leading edge of the spine the outer binding has two small holes. The spine, showing the head of the tin man under the titles and above the publisher's credit is bright, there are several small marks on the rear board which shows little signs of wear. List of titles shows 19 including Grampa in Oz published in 1920. Book is tight bright and clean throughout) Large octavo 256pp 16 colour plates all in fine condition

Large octavo. 279 pp. 12 full color illustrations; black and white illustrations throughout. Gray cloth boards stamped in black with color paper label to front. No dust jacket. Boards lightly shelfworn with some general soiling. Open easily between pp. [220] and 221 but overall binding sound. Very light fading to text of first paragraph of page 150; patchy smudging to plates; pages else toned but unmarked. A Very Good and collectible copy. Baum's posthumously published final Oz book follows two adventuring parties, Dorothy and Ozma, and Glinda and a troupe of Dorothy's friends. [Bienvenue & Schmidt p. 81].

Description: Tan boards with paste-on to front board peeling and partially unadhered.Spine stamped in black only. Considerable rubbing, fading, discloration and minor rippling (rear board) to cloth. General rubbing to extremities. Blank endpapers. No plates per se, but the book is loaded with color images -- 40 full page color illustrations, including the lovely frontispiece of Ozma. Numerous colored half-pages as well. Verso of half-title page. lists titles through "Glinda of Oz". 2 in. closed tear to illustration on p. 109. P. 221 printed in black and white. The letter "O" missing from Author's Note, p. 11, line 5, . All illustrations present and accounted for.Only two advertisements on verso of ownership page AND on p. 272 -- The Land of Oz (1904), and John Dough and The Cherub (1906). Baum's Author's Note on p. 11 reads: "My friends the children are responsible for this new 'Oz Book'.Their sweet little letters plead to know more about Dorothy'; and they ask: 'What became of the Cowardly Lion.'.If.the little folks find this new story 'Real Ozzy', I shall be very glad indeed that I wrote it."
