Description: CALVINO, Italo. Cosmicomics. London: Jonathan Cape. 1969. First British edition. An excellent example of Calvino’s postmodernism does science fiction history of the creation of the universe, told through twelve wonderful short stories, usually narrated by the unpronounceable Qfwfq. Reading it, ‘infinity becomes momentarily acceptable to the finite mind and the reader glimpses his own infinitesimal significance’. I highlight the momentariness. A fine book in a near fine unclipped dust jacket, with a small nick to spine foot and a little fading to the rear panel of the glorious wraparound jacket.
