Description: xv / 223 pp + 24 pages of adverts, green cloth with gilt titles decorations and advertising. This appears to be an edition from around 1869 produced for Arlington and Co. Wine and Beer Merchants of Dalhousie Square Calcutta there are adverts for Arlington produce at various points in the book, including for a patented ice making machine. Cloth is rubbed and marked with scuffed corners , there are splits and tears along the edges of the backstrip, pages a little tanned a few pencil marks.

Description: Hardcover without jacket in acceptable condition. Some wear to the boards with a few marks throughout. Spine ends and its edges have some wear and nicks. Leading corners are a little bumped. Fitted in a protective sleeve. Small tear to the upper edge of the front endpaper. The text block is detached from the spine and front hinge. The rear hinge is partially split along the pastedown. The binding itself is intact. Pencil mark on pages 213 and 214. Page 67 has a crease across the page. A number of the pages are dog-eared. Rear pastedown and endpaper has some stains along the edges. Traces of foxing on the text block and some of the pages. The content is clear throughout. CM

An old printed recipe for moselle cup pasted onto the front board paper. A very solid and useable copy. Bitting p. 458.
