Description: A set of two documents presented to the Senate concerning natural history of Alaska. Documents included are: "Contributions to the Natural History of Alaska " by L. M. Turner, includes 26 plates and has 226 pp; and "Report Upon Natural History Collections Made In Alaska Between the Years 1877 and 1881" by Edward W. Nelson and edited by Henry W. Henshaw, includes 21 plates and has 337 pp. Collated and complete. Boards have full leather binding with title gilt on spine. Spine has heavy chipping, affecting gilt title. Front board is detached from spine but all content is present. Ex-library with catalog number on spine and rubber stamp on first endpaper and title page. Moderate toning to endpapers and pastedowns. Plates are in b&w and color, and most are in very good condition and some are lightly toned. Plates include illustrations of birds and fish found in Alaska. ; 4to 11" - 13" tall
