Top edge gilt, other edges untrimmed. Both endpapers are split along the hinge line.general soft browning throughout. The book looks very similar to Macmillan's contemporary Bombay Edition. The materials used in the production lend themselves in aging to look rather scruffy, but the book is clean and in good shape. *** CONTENTS: InI this collection of about 150 poems are his India and East of Suez poems, as well as those set in South Afiica and many general works. The contents are in good order, the page edges are browned, there is a touch of foxing and a slight crease to lower page corners in first half of book, and there is an inscription from a previous owner to the front free endpaper. The covers are browned and a little warped, as usual, and the ties are missing where they exit the vellum, also as usual! The deluxe version of this book of Kipling's poetry, limited to 500 copies, of which this is number 117, signed by the publisher and the printer.
