Description: From a run of 1790 sets this is from #849.Grey paper boards with tan cloth spine in excellent condition. Partial ligh rubbing to bottom spine edge. Book is near fine with light foxing to end papers and protective tissue. Pages mildly toned. Rare original DJ had some edge wear, tape to verso along front spine edge and 2 front cracks, some loss to top and bottom spine edges, sunning to spine but spine title is readable.

Description: Octavo Still the definitive set of Shaw's works. Limited 1790 sets. Paper over cloth;paper labels. No dust jackets. This lovely set has some water staining on 5 volumes. On 4 of these it is very light and confined to minor discoloration on spines, covers, and endpapers. Vol. 27, however, has a stain invading top margins intermittently throughout and light warping of back cover and last 80 or so pages. It is still a very sound and useable set. Buyer will need to pay shipping. Top edges gilt, others uncut; most volumes unopened.
