Inside front cover is a discrete previous owner's name and dated 1/12/1952, frontispiece of Dylan Thomas from a painting by Augustus John, xiv, 172 clean pages. Unclipped dust jacket, price 12s. 6d. net, shows wear to roughened edges with small repaired tear at upper spine end, but still in good to very good condition. Published as 1st edition in 1951 and in near fine condition.

The first edition of this work in the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Dylan Thomas (1914-1953) was a Welsh poet and writer whose best known works included the poems 'Do not go gentle into that good night' and 'And death shall have no dominion'. His 'play for voices', Under Milk Wood, was also popular. This anthology gathers together all his published poems, including his two most popular poems, and ten more poems which were first published in this collection. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, cloth is very smart, though slightly faded to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Dust wrapper is mostly smart though sunned, and chipped to the head and tail of the spine, and to the folds of the flaps, with amateur tape repairs to the verso.
