More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Binding remains firm. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild scuffing overall. Spine has light tanning with soft crushing to ends. Lettering remains bright and clear. Book has a slight forward lean.

Description: Fourth Edition 1946 First published 1924) except Vol 5 was printed in 1950. Volumes 2, 3 and 4 have rough cut pages. All have green cloth boards that show almost no wear. They have a previous owners paste in. The paper shows even age toning. Volume 2 is "Fourth edition" published by Leonard Woolf at the Hogarth Press ; Vol 3 if Third Edition by Hogarth Press; Vol 4 is Third Edition by Hogarth Press; Vol 5 appears to be a First Edition by Hogarth Press. A few (less than 4 or 5) pages have light foxing marks. A very handsome set.
