Description: 7.8 x 5.1 x 1 inches-Sixteenth printing-1985. The pages are clean and unmarked. While famous for his celebrated novel, Under the Volcano, Malcolm Lowry always considered himself a poet. First published in 1962 and long out of print, Selected Poems of Malcolm Lowry is the only comprehensive selection of his poetry to be published, and it remains the perfect introduction to his extensive poetic canon. Edited by Lowry's good friend, renowned Canadian poet Earle Birney, with the assistance of his widow, Margerie Lowry, the selection includes extraordinary poems written during Lowry's stay in Mexico, many of which are closely related to his novel. This new edition includes a "Publisher's Note" from Lawrence Ferlinghetti.

Allen Ginsbergs wohl bekanntestes Gedicht "Howl". Sprache: de

Winans. Although the short-lived journal struggled to stick to its annual schedule (the final issue was published 15 years after the first) it remains a testament to Ferlinghetti's influence: the first issue includes contributions from the entire Beat pantheon, including Ginsberg, Burroughs, Kerouac, Ed Sanders, and Neal Cassady. 4 volumes, octavo. Original black and white photographic wrappers lettered in black and white. Housed in a custom black cloth slipcase. Wrappers rubbed and lightly toned with a few marks, spines and lower corners slightly creased, foxing to some edges and endpapers, No. 1 with tiny chip at head of spine, No. 2 with stain on spine extending slightly to rear wrapper and lower corners of a few leaves, not affecting text, No. 3 spine ends slightly bumped, No. 4 with joints split at head but firm.
